27 years ago, I had my first
Near-Death Experience.
That was when I first
experienced the Light.
I knew I was dying
and had neither
the strength nor
will to resist.
There was pure Peace,
radiant Bliss,
and all-pervading Love.
And there was
the Light.
A radiant, infinite white Light
that pervades everything
and everywhere.
If you’ve read stories of
Near-Death Experiences,
you’ve read about the author
experiencing people, guides,
relatives, and even objects,
often accompanied by this Light.
Here there was only Light.
Absent even one who
would experience it.
The Tibetan Book of the Dead
says that when the dying person
experiences this pure, infinite Light
it is too bright for them.
They turn away from its brilliance
and look for a lesser version.
I didn’t do that.
The Light dissolved all sense of me.
I think it is because of attachment
to the self that they turn away,
knowing that this Light is the end of the
dream of I.
And this is also why they experience
people, guides, relatives,
and someone to experience them.
After that experience,
I began to enter the Light
in all my meditations.
Body, mind, self, and world
dissolved into this infinite Light.
In spiritual teachings,
we call the dissolution of the dream
Nirvakalpa Samadhi.
Even when not in Samadhi,
I could see the Light
everywhere and in everything.
Soon the healings began.
It was clearly not me doing them.
My body was simply a vehicle for the Light,
a conduit, like a pipe for water.
And this continues today.
It is not surprising to me
that we use the word “Enlightenment.”
Or that Jesus said,
“I am the Light of the world.”
What is really here is
beyond anything we
can think or see.
Perhaps it is more accurate
to focus on what we feel.
The felt sense of this Light
is the absolute, unconditional Love
that can only be experienced
when all sense of separation
is gone.
I mentioned healing,
and this Light heals
all areas that need healing,
whether physical,
mental,
emotional,
or spiritual.
It has taught me that love alone
is the most effective and powerful
medicine on this earth.
Before awakening,
we may believe that reality
is limited to the forms
we perceive and
our knowledge about them.
That could not be further
from the truth.
The vast majority of reality
is not in form at all.
Catholic priests who specialize in exorcism
are aware of this,
although they have their own
biases, interpretations, and beliefs
based on the limitations
of their religion,
as all religious believers do.
But there are beings not in form
who have an effect on those of us who are.
Some are benign and helpful,
and others not so much.
Much of our western culture,
government, economy, and even religions
are affected by entities and energies
that are not benign or beneficial to humans
or the planet.
It is pretty easy and obvious to see,
as they are not acting through love,
but through ego.
The simple way to realize this is to ask:
“What would love do?”
As soon as your heart is filled with love,
it will be crystal clear.
You’ll feel the answer.
Love is the only antidote to this darkness
affecting the world.
When you are filled with
Light and Love,
you not only heal yourself
but everyone around you.
